The UK's Top Digital Trends vs Tomorrow's
It was a surprise for me, but according to the excellent Digital Life research study by TNS, the UK digital audience spend more time Internet Banking than doing anything else online. Probably figuring out how to navigate antiquated banking websites, if my own choice of online banking is anything to go by. And here’s where the future is … Location-based services look like the ones...

Scan This: People Don't Give A Fuck About QR Codes
An extended rant about QR codes. What started as a mild-mannered rant about QR codes…“ Anyone ever used a QR code? No? Then please stop insisting they go on everything.jimwolffmanOctober 24, 2011 Got a ton of replies pretty quick…“ QuiteRedundant RT @jimwolffman Anyone ever used a QR code? No? The Truth About Youth :: Some interesting stuff here from McCann Worldgroup’s study of 7,000 young people around the world. Especially how over half of 16-22 would rather give up their sense of smell than give up their technology.

Do You Want To Hear A Beautiful Thing?
So this is how the conversation went when I went for a coffee at The Clock this morning...
Barista: (To me) Do you want to hear a beautiful thing?
Clock Dave: Hey. Not now, can't you see we're busy.
[I look around. Two people sit idling at a table. There is no one else in the queue. The rest of the place is empty.]
Me: Hey c'mon Dave. You can't piss on a beautiful thing...
Clock Dave: Fair enough. Go on then, what is it?
Barista: Ok, so I've got a five and half year old daughter, and last night she couldn't sleep. So I got a bowl of blueberries and told her these were DreamBerries. Each one has a different dream inside: that berry will make you fly, eat that one and you'll meet fairies and so on. She had a few, and fell asleep right away.
The next morning she was telling me her dreams over breakfast, still excited by the prospect of dreams in her berries.
---
And if that's not a beautiful thing, I don't know what is.
